Lenise's Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced (1/2 to 3/4 cup)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 15 oz can diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2-3 tbsp chili powder
  • ~1 tsp oregano
  • ~1/2 tsp cumin
  • 16 oz can beans (whatever kind you want - usually black beans or pintos)

Procedure

  1. Brown meat with onion, adding garlic for the last minute or two
  2. Add remaining ingredients except beans, simmer for an hour or so
  3. Add beans, cook for another 15 min or so
